Blackpool and Fylde Chess League Preston has three teams in the league - two in the first division and one in the second division.
Central Lancashire Chess League Preston has one team in the league, in the first division. |

From M6 J31, follow A59 Preston City Centre for about 2 miles. At T junction with traffic lights turn right onto Ringway (A6). Follow dual carriageway past Holiday Inn and downhill (turns back into A59). Turn right at 2nd set of lights onto Corporation Street A5071, sign posted Blackpool A583 and University. Continue straight on through several sets of traffic lights, past what looks like a roundabout. When you see a Marshall Arts Dojo sign ahead, and The Students Union on your right turn left into Kirkham Street where there is free on-road parking after 6pm. From M6 J32, follow A6 until you reach A59 (opposite Holiday Inn), turn right onto A59, then as above. From Lytham/Blackpool A583 follow signs for Preston Town Centre which should bring you in along Fylde Road in the other direction (so the Student Union is on the left and Kirkham Street on the right). The Ale Emporium is reached via a side entrance behind the Mad Ferret. We play in the upstairs room. |
