I have been inspired to become a chess coach ever since I received some coaching from an experienced coach several years ago. His enthusiasm for the game and willingness to help others improve motivated me to do the same.
Currently I have been working hard at chess and I am playing stronger than ever before. From 20 games so far this season my performance grade stands at 202, I have qualified to play in the British Chess Championships and have qualified as an English Chess Federation Accredited coach.
I am friendly and approachable and can get along with people of all ages and backgrounds. I am able to explain things clearly and explain things in a way that people can understand. Lately, I have been coaching junior players at Lancashire Chess Congresses and have been able to explain concepts such as planning, king safety, development etc and I believe that Lancashire is already seeing the rewards from these sessions.
I am available for group or private coaching sessions with junior players or adult players, from the beginner to the advanced. I am also happy to annotate players games.
